Systems administrator, DevOps engineer & app developer. Building infrastructure, mobile experiences, and open tools — one commit at a time.
Get in touch ↗I'm Cristian Dolință — a systems administrator and developer based in Chișinău, Moldova, with a broad background spanning infrastructure, backend development, QA engineering, and mobile apps.
On the infrastructure side I manage Zabbix, MikroTik, vCenter, Kubernetes, NSX ALB, and GitLab CI/CD in multi-datacenter environments. I've worked extensively with OPNsense — including configuration, MX relay server setup, and proxy server deployment. I started in QA automation engineering, moved through Java microservice development, and eventually landed in systems and DevOps work.
For mobile I build natively on Kotlin for Android, cross-platform with React Native, and increasingly with Flutter — which I've come to prefer for its speed and consistency across platforms.
I'm a genuine tech nerd who loves tinkering with operating systems — macOS, Linux, different distros — though Arch is home. Both being UNIX-based systems makes the cross-platform research particularly interesting.
I'm an Orthodox Christian with a deep interest in Greek language, patristics, and the liturgical tradition.
Arcade mobile game with coins, cosmetics, Firebase leaderboards, Insane Mode, and a full rank & achievement system across two progression paths. Currently in final polish — difficulty tuning and achievement calibration before launch.
A training tracker app built around a progressive overload protocol — currently in active testing and feature expansion, covering a wider range of training needs before release.
Self-hosted push MFA platform — currently in architectural planning phase. Development begins after Pulse and CDL Protocol ship. Targets MikroTik L2TP/RADIUS integration and Authentik SSO with multi-device challenge support.
Managing multi-datacenter environments — WireGuard tunnels, Kubernetes clusters, NSX ALB, GitLab CI/CD, Zabbix monitoring, and OPNsense/Artica proxy layers including MX relay configuration.
An internal Orthodox liturgical platform — native Android app, React/Vite web version, and a custom backend. Paused due to scope; the decision was made to extract its features into smaller, focused Flutter apps published independently.
A family of focused Flutter apps born from OrtodoxMD — a Bible reader, an Orthodox radio stream, and other small liturgical tools. Lightweight, no heavy backend, published independently under my name.
Ongoing testing and research of macOS and Linux as UNIX-based systems — exploring kernel internals, compositor builds, custom shells, and cross-platform tooling. Arch is home base.
Linux news, desktop environment deep-dives, Wayland compositor builds, and custom shell showcases. Covering the cutting edge of the open-source desktop from an Arch-first perspective.
