CEO of CDL Production. CDL Production is an independent mobile software studio registered in the Republic of Moldova (IDNO: 1026023031266, DUNS: 933919833), building privacy-respecting applications for iOS and Android. Building infrastructure, mobile experiences, and open tools — one commit at a time.
Get in touch ↗I'm Cristian Dolință — founder and CEO of CDL Production, leading the CDL Team based in Chișinău, Moldova. Our background spans infrastructure, backend development, QA engineering, and mobile app development.
On the infrastructure side, the CDL Team manages Zabbix, MikroTik, vCenter, Kubernetes, NSX ALB, and GitLab CI/CD in multi-datacenter environments. We've worked extensively with OPNsense — including configuration, MX relay server setup, and proxy server deployment, with roots in QA automation engineering and Java microservice development.
For mobile, the CDL Team builds natively on Kotlin for Android, cross-platform with React Native, and increasingly with Flutter — our preferred framework for its speed and consistency. All apps are published under CDL Production on Google Play and the App Store.
The CDL Team lives and breathes open systems — macOS, Linux, different distros — though Arch is home. Both being UNIX-based systems makes the cross-platform research particularly interesting.
Rooted in the Orthodox Christian faith, the CDL Team also develops dedicated apps for the Orthodox community — bringing liturgical tools, Bible readers, and faith resources to mobile platforms.
Arcade mobile game with coins, cosmetics, Firebase leaderboards, Insane Mode, and a full rank & achievement system across two progression paths. Currently in final polish — difficulty tuning and achievement calibration before launch.
An Orthodox Bible reader for Android — features full reading progress tracking with resume-from-last-position, advanced search across the entire Scripture, and a bookmarks system for saving favorite verses. Built with Flutter and Firebase, with Firestore powering user data sync. First published app in a planned series of focused Orthodox faith tools.
A training tracker app built around a progressive overload protocol — currently in active testing and feature expansion, covering a wider range of training needs before release.
Self-hosted push MFA platform — currently in architectural planning phase. Development begins after Pulse and CDL Protocol ship. Targets MikroTik L2TP/RADIUS integration and Authentik SSO with multi-device challenge support.
Managing multi-datacenter environments — WireGuard tunnels, Kubernetes clusters, NSX ALB, GitLab CI/CD, Zabbix monitoring, and OPNsense/Artica proxy layers including MX relay configuration.
An internal Orthodox liturgical platform — native Android app, React/Vite web version, and a custom backend. Paused due to scope; the decision was made to extract its features into smaller, focused Flutter apps published independently.
Ongoing testing and research of macOS and Linux as UNIX-based systems — exploring kernel internals, compositor builds, custom shells, and cross-platform tooling. Arch is home base.
A live Orthodox radio streaming app for Radio LOGOS Moldova — features live stream playback, an RSS-powered archive of past broadcasts, and a clean minimal player interface. Built with Flutter and published on Google Play and the App Store under CDL Production.
A comprehensive baby companion app developed in close cooperation with pediatricians and backed by extensive child development research. Nuri covers sleep tracking, feeding schedules, developmental leaps, and growth milestones — giving parents science-backed guidance at every stage. Built by the CDL Team under CDL Production.
Linux news, desktop environment deep-dives, Wayland compositor builds, and custom shell showcases. Covering the cutting edge of the open-source desktop from an Arch-first perspective.
